Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are on the hunt for a Women in Engineering Outreach Coordinator to join our Engineering team. In this role you will be organising and coordinating outreach events and school visits for the women in engineering outreach initiatives. You will also be involved in delivering the highlights and benefits of engineering at the University of Auckland to students, teachers and the wider community at a range of events, so that they have a comprehensive understanding of the engineering industry. Some domestic travel (including overnight stays) may be required.
Along with this, you will be influential in recruiting, managing and training outreach ambassadors, ensuring they have all the tools required to succeed. Data collection and reporting, simple website maintenance and social media content creation and management are all key elements of this role, and we welcome a proven ability to build strong relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
This role is full time (37.5 hours), fixed term until October 2025. The salary range for this role is $62,400- $72,700 per annum, prorated depending on experience and qualifications.

He kōrero mōu | About you
You will have some or all of the following:
- Bachelors degree or related experience
- Coordinator or administrative experience
- Outreach coordinator experience, teaching experience, work experience in science or engineering
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence – essential

You will have these skills required for this role:
- Outstanding presentation skills both written and visual
- Excellent communication skills
- Administration – proficient in Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
- Excellent time management
- Strong attention to detail
