Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The University of Auckland is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative individual to an exciting opportunity within its Student Engagement Team.
Reporting to the Student Engagement Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting students in the active creation of a positive student experience on campus. Providing day to day support for students involved in Student Group Executives, those holding representative seats on University committees and student leader positions.
The role also oversees administrative support for more than 250 Student Groups at the University of Auckland, which involves but is not limited to providing access to resources and equipment, managing the financial support available through a Grants programme, providing advice on the legal and financial responsibilities of Student Groups and ensuring clubs are adequately represented at University forums and committees.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent opportunity.
The remuneration is $66,600 - $82,200 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

If you are an adaptable and enthusiastic leader and looking for a challenging role through which to demonstrate your exceptional planning and problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to a lead a high-performing team, then this could be the job for you.
To be considered for the role you will be educated to a bachelor’s degree level (as a minimum) and have experience in working with young people in a co-curricular environment. You will be required to have excellent time management and the ability to develop and manage strong working relationships with a wide variety of students, colleagues, and external parties.
You should be familiar with the student life cycle and be passionate about excellence and innovation in Student Engagement. We are looking for an individual with drive and a foundation of skills to influence others and make things happen.
