Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are currently looking for a Professional Teaching Fellow in Data Science to join our Statistics department where you will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative and high-quality teaching at all levels of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses in statistics, with an emphasis on data science. In particular, the successful candidate will join the team responsible for the organisation and delivery of our large scale first year courses in statistics. In addition, the role may include teaching in-person short courses in Data Science at our partner universities in China.
You will be encouraged to investigate novel strategies and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement, to support diverse styles of teaching and learning and delivery of high-quality course materials.
This is a fulltime (40 hours per week), permanent role
Remuneration: PTF2 – PTF3; $107,016 - $117,208

You will have a PhD (awarded or anticipated in near future) in Statistics or in a closely related subject with a demonstrated knowledge of postgraduate level statistics.
