Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The School of Environment at the University of Auckland invites applications for a permanent position of Lecturer in Geographic Information Science. To be considered for this role applicants will need to have PhD in a relevant field, as well a track record of research as demonstrated by scholarly publications and, potentially, external research grants.

We seek a dynamic researcher and educator with strengths in geocomputation, urban analytics, spatial data science and/or spatial big data analytics whose scholarship and teaching apply advanced computational approaches to issues in both natural and social environments. The successful candidate will join the School of Environment, and as such should complement the school’s existing strengths in environmental modelling, applied remote sensing, spatial statistics, and data science.

This is a fulltime (40 hours per week), permanent position
Remuneration: L1-L4 ($91,328 - $100,213) dependent on experience

We are seeking a person who has an ability and desire to bring a multi-scale and approach that links with researchers from a range of disciplines. Someone with research experience in NZ and Asia Pacific may be an advantage.
