Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

NeSI - New Zealand eScience Infrastructure - is New Zealand's high-performance computing and data research infrastructure. We grow the computing and analytics capability of researchers, including through partnering with research sector teams and institutions to achieve critical mass. As an unincorporated body, NeSI is an investment by New Zealand universities, Crown Research Institutes, and the Crown, through the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

NeSI provides platforms and expertise which enable the country's researchers to tackle the world's largest problems. Increasingly, data is at the centre of our world – whether it’s the environmental data informing models of water quality and abundance, biological data capturing the genetic variance within a wide range of populations, or data informing forecasting of the effects of climate. Researchers often depend on advanced high-performance computing and data capabilities to achieve their goals, and NeSI is at the forefront of this innovation.
