The Department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging is one of eight departments in the School of Medical Sciences within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FMHS) at the University of Auckland. It is recognised locally and internationally for anatomy and medical imaging education and research, in particular in neuroscience, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems. The Department has state of the art anatomical dissection, processing, plastination, and medical imaging facilities, and fully integrates physical examination and medical imaging into a variety of teaching and research programmes. The Department offers the only postgraduate programmes in medical imaging technology in New Zealand.

Job Description

We are seeking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic Professional Teaching Fellows to teach all areas of ultrasound discipline and to significantly contribute to the Department’s academic programmes in Medical Imaging. 

Who we are looking for?

  • You will hold a relevant qualification in clinical ultrasound imaging recognised by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
  • You must also have a current or be eligible for New Zealand clinical Annual Practising Certificate.
  • ·Previous or current teaching experience preferred.
  • Sub-specialty experience in either vascular or musculo-skeletal ultrasound, and/or an interest in teaching ultrasound physics preferred, but all interested parties should apply.

This is ideally a full-time permanent academic position but those interested in part-time positions will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.
