Job Description
We're seeking a dynamic Employee Engagement Specialist who combines data analytics expertise with people-focused implementation skills. This role will drive employee engagement initiatives through data-driven insights, connecting engagement measurement to organizational outcomes. The ideal candidate will help design the company's employee listening strategy, analyze engagement trends, develop actionable strategies, and implement programs that enhance the overall employee experience at Nielsen.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Listening Strategy & Data Analytics
Design and implement Nielsen's comprehensive employee listening strategy, including survey cadence, methodology, and feedback channels
Analyze employee engagement metrics, survey data, and HR analytics to identify trends and patterns
Connect engagement data to business outcomes and opportunity areas for our employee experience
Create dashboards and reports
Develop predictive models to forecast engagement risks and opportunities
Partner with People Analytics teams to enhance data collection and measurement strategies
Strategy Development & Implementation
Design and implement comprehensive employee engagement strategies that advance the business objectives and are grounded in data insights and listening feedback
Collaborate with People organization and managers to create targeted development programs addressing engagement gaps
Lead culture integration initiatives that align with Nielsen's values and business objectives
Create feedback loops to continuously improve engagement programs and listening mechanisms
Build manager capability to foster team engagement
Design and implement forward-looking engagement and measurement strategies that keep pace with AI-driven changes to work and the employee experience
Stakeholder Management & Program Execution
Partner with HR Business Partners, managers, and leadership to drive engagement initiatives
Facilitate focus groups and engagement sessions to gather qualitative insights
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for engagement programs
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
Support change management efforts related to culture and engagement transformations
Qualifications
Required:
Degree in Data Science /Data Analytics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, HR Management, Business administration & management or related field
3-5 years of experience in people analytics, employee engagement, or HR data analysis
Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, Excel) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI)
Strong understanding of employee engagement principles, survey methodologies, and HR metrics
Excellent communication skills with ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations
Preferred:
Background in organizational psychology, change management, or culture transformation
Experience designing employee listening strategies and implementing engagement programs
Experience with employee survey platform
Project management certification or experience managing cross-functional initiatives
Knowledge of learning & development program design and implementation
