Job Description
As a Research Analyst, you will play a key role in understanding how audiences engage with content across national broadcast, cable, syndication, and streaming platforms. Your primary focus will be conducting research to evaluate how data enhancements affect TV viewing metrics. You will act as a bridge between technical data processes and business applications, translating complex weighting methodologies and viewing trends into clear, actionable insights for client service representatives and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Perform primary research to analyze TV viewing behavior and identify emerging industry trends.
- Evaluate the impact of data enhancements and methodology changes on viewership numbers.
- Execute strategic deep-dives into data to provide comprehensive reports on audience engagement.
- Translate complex data processes and technical weightings into easy-to-understand explanations for non-technical teams.
- Utilize specialized media tools to extract and manipulate large datasets for national programming.
- Collaborate with client service teams to ensure they understand how data shifts affect their specific portfolios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or market research.
- Proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and macros.
- Technical experience with Python or R, SQL, and Databricks.
- Ability to create data visualizations using Tableau.
- Familiarity with industry-standard media tools such as NNTV and NPower.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to explain technical concepts to a general audience.
