Surgical Oncology Manager – RN
Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Full-time | Days | 7–10 Hour Weekdays
Salary: Up to $130,000/year based on experience
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Available (case by case)

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Manager with strong leadership skills and an oncology background to oversee surgical oncology operations across two outpatient sites in Austin. This leadership role combines operational oversight with clinical excellence in a high-acuity oncology setting.

Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Dual-site oversight (one active clinic and one new opening)

  • 15-bed outpatient oncology unit, averaging 30 patients daily

  • Responsible for approximately 20 FTEs

  • Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership for surgical oncology nursing operations

  • Ensure adherence to nursing standards, clinical outcomes, and regulatory compliance

  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care

  • Oversee patient throughput, care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration

  • Ensure staff scheduling aligns with patient needs and budget guidelines

  • Manage supply usage and operational expenses with a focus on cost control

  • Foster team engagement and improve the patient experience through evidence-based practices

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (TX or compact)

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required

  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare leadership experience required

  • Oncology Chemotherapy Certification required

  • BLS certification required
