Mobile Developer, Reston, VA

Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:
Make updates to the applications based on needs outlined in the agile sprint requirements 
Work with internal and external teams, and independently to gain understanding of the current applications
Interface with customer and external teams to explain application functionality and behavior as needed 
Address issues that are reported internally or externally, specifically production or security issues  Analyze current documentation and make improvements as necessary 
3 days of the week will be in the office and 2 days remote

Position Requirements:

US Citizen and able to obtain Public Trust 
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in Java development
2+ years’ experience in Android app development with Android SDK
Hands on experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
 
Nice to have:

Have published at least one original Android app
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
