Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst to join a team working on a Global Receivables platform within the financial services environment.
The successful candidate will act as a key link between Business, Operations and Technology, working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Agile development teams to define requirements, shape solutions and ensure successful delivery.
This role requires a highly analytical profile with strong knowledge of Receivables/Factoring products, Supply Chain Finance and banking Back Office processes, particularly accounting, accounting integration and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the functional definition and evolution of the Global Receivables platform, working closely with Product Owners and other Business Analysts.
- Act as the key interface between Business and Technology, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories for Agile development teams.
- Lead meetings and workshops with Accounting and Regulatory Reporting teams to understand requirements and define appropriate solutions.
- Prioritise requirements and translate them into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating delivered functionality against business requirements.
- Propose effective technological and operational solutions to support the launch and evolution of new products.
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders across Operations, Business, Technology and management teams.
- Coordinate and manage external functional consultants, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivery expectations.
- Create and maintain functional documentation, including documentation related to the product Operating Model.
- Develop strong expertise in the Receivables product and its operational management, becoming a key subject-matter expert for the platform.
- Monitor delivery milestones and ensure that agreed deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Support the monitoring of the financial execution and budget of the workstream.
Qualifications
Requirements & Experience
- Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst / Business Analyst within banking or financial services.
- Strong experience working with Agile methodologies and delivering User Acceptance Testing.
- Highly analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail and the ability to understand complex business processes and requirements.
- Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Strong experience producing functional documentation, presentations and business requirements.
- Solid knowledge of Supply Chain Finance products, particularly Receivables.
- Demonstrable experience working with Factoring and/or Receivables products.
- Previous experience within Banking Back Office environments.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, accounting integration and regulatory reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Business, Operations and Technology.
- Experience managing or coordinating external consultants is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of programming languages or technical concepts would be considered a plus.
