Our Graduate Program

Our goal is to build you up for success. Our 2-year Graduate Program is designed to provide you with comprehensive training and development opportunities. 

You will have the chance to work in a core business unit and explore different areas of our organisation through rotations. 

Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience in another division, enabling you to broaden your understanding of our operations and develop versatile skills. 

At the end of the program, you will be seamlessly transitioned into a permanent role at AusNet, aligned with your skills, capability, and chosen career pathway.

About the role

As a People Team Graduate, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced HR professionals. 

You will be an essential member of the People Team, responsible for supporting various aspects of human resources, employee development, talent acquisition and fostering a culture of engagement and productivity. 

This role will enable you to gain invaluable hands-on experience in shaping AusNet’s most valuable asset - our people.

What you will deliver

  • Assist in developing and implementing employee training and development programs to enhance skills and foster career growth.
  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, promoting a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including policies, benefits, and performance management.
  • Aid in conducting employee surveys and feedback sessions to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in HR projects aimed at enhancing employee well-being, work-life balance, and overall job satisfaction.
  • Assist in the maintenance of HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of HR communications to keep employees informed about HR programs and updates.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to assist in the recruitment and selection process, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and assessments.
  • Support the onboarding and orientation of new employees, ensuring a seamless integration into the company culture.

To be eligible to apply for our People Graduate Program, you will have full working rights in Australia, and have graduated in 2024 or graduate by December 2025 with a degree qualification in any of the fields below:
