Job Description

The TED Audio Collective(Podcast team) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Editorial Intern to assist with various marketing and editorial tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about media, storytelling, and digital marketing to gain hands-on experience at one of the world's leading media organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Copy Support:

    • Assist with writing and editing social media posts to promote podcast episodes.

    • Develop engaging and compelling scripts for social media clips.

  • Content Creation:

    • Write concise, accurate, engaging and SEO-optimized episode descriptions and headlines that capture the essence of each podcast episode and attract listeners.

    • Upload podcast transcriptions and ensure they are accurate and well-formatted.

    • Work closely with Brand Creative team to utilize templates for Youtube thumbnails, episode-specific graphics, and other social assets 

  • Content Management:

    • Identify and mark chapters for YouTube uploads to enhance user experience and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.

  • Collaborative spirit -- willingness to implement edits and workshop copy with others 

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Passion for storytelling and a keen interest in TED's mission and content.

  • Experience with transcription tools and YouTube is a plus

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6 months, part-time

Compensation: $20/hr
