TBC Asset Management (AMC) is seeking a team member for the position of Financial analyst.
The Financial analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of the funds managed by TBC Asset Management. The role covers daily calculation and valuation of Net asset value, reconciliations, transaction processing, contractual data controls and regular reporting, and works closely with the Finance, Investment, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams, as well as banks, custodians, counterparties and auditors.
Job Description
NAV Calculation and Fund Operations Oversight
- Calculate and approve the fund's Net Asset Value (NAV) on a regular, accurate, and timely basis
- Revalue the Fund’s portfolio holdings, including illiquid and non-exchange-traded instruments, in accordance with the Fund’s Fair Value methodology and valuation policies.
- Validate prices, valuation inputs, accrual and other data used in NAV calculations; investigate, document and promptly escalate discrepancies.
- Ensure the accurate recognition and calculation of distributable net income attributable to unitholders in accordance with the Fund’s Dividend Distribution Policy, as well as the appropriate recognition of unrealized gains and losses.
- Maintain complete NAV calculation files, supporting documentation, control checklists and calculation histories for each fund.
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, securities and other balance-sheet items with banks and custodians, monitor fund liquidity and cash flows, and record, verify and process investment transactions, contractual terms, investor subscriptions and redemptions, maintaining accurate contract records and a calendar of key deadlines.
Reporting, Controls and Audit Support
- Ensure fund administration activities are performed in accordance with the PPM, internal policy and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor all corporate actions (including redemptions and dividend distributions) in accordance with the PPM, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation and notifications to relevant internal and external parties.
- Record errors, exceptions and operational incidents, support root-cause analysis and remediation, and recommend improvements to strengthen controls.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation, reconciliations and explanations, and contribute to the automation and improvement of NAV, reconciliation and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in fund administration, banking, accounting, audit or asset management.
- Professional certifications (ACCA, CFA, - in progress or completed) will be considered an additional advantage.
- Good understanding of NAV calculation, financial accounting and investment instruments, particularly loans, bonds, deposits and money-market instruments.
- Knowledge of accrued interest, effective interest rate, amortised cost, fair value, and realised and unrealised gains and losses.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Bloomberg knowledge will be considered an additional advantage.
- Good command of Georgian and English and the ability to work accurately under daily and monthly deadlines.
