Company Description
TBC Asset Management (TBC AMC) is Georgia's largest investment management company, holding approximately 70% of the domestic market, and a member of TBC Bank Group — a FTSE 250-listed financial services group on the London Stock Exchange.
Founded in 2023, TBC AMC was among the first licensed asset managers in Georgia and has grown to approximately USD 130 million in assets under management. The company's flagship product, which was the driver of company’s growth, is Diversified Credit Portfolio — private credit fund. The fund invests in loans to large Georgian corporates and delivers attractive risk-adjusted returns to investors in USD. Our investment funds serve both individual and institutional investors. Since January 2026, TBC AMC has also taken on co-management of Georgia's only operating private pension schemes, with approximately GEL 50 million under management.
TBC AMC is now entering a new phase of growth, expanding into new asset classes and building the internal investment capabilities to support it.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director / CEO to lead TBC Asset Management through its next phase of growth.
This is a senior leadership role combining strategic direction with hands-on execution, responsible for overall business performance, investment oversight, operational excellence, and market development in a rapidly evolving financial ecosystem.
CEO will be accountable to the TBC Asset Management Supervisory Board. Industry is regulated by the National Bank of Georgia, Capital Market Supervision direction thus role is subject to relevant fit & proper clearance from the group and regulator.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Execute and continuously redefine company’s strategic direction and growth roadmap based on market opportunities
- Lead the development and launch of new investment products, including credit, fixed income, pension and other new fund types on the market
- Drive AUM growth through fundraising, partnerships, and distribution initiatives across group and outside counterparties
Investment Management & Oversight
- Oversee portfolio management across all funds, ensuring strong risk-adjusted performance
- Develop and refine investment strategies aligned with market conditions
- Monitor portfolio performance, compliance with mandates, and implement necessary adjustments
- Stay ahead of market trends and capital market developments
- Develop and enhance portfolio and investment management direction through synergies across the group
Operations & Execution
- Oversee end-to-end fund operations, including NAV calculation, fair value pricing, subscriptions/redemptions, and reporting
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial and regulatory reporting
- Coordinate with key partners (auditors, brokers, custodians, depositaries, administrators)
- Ensure efficient execution of transactions and smooth day-to-day operations
Drive operational efficiency by identifying process gaps and implementing automation where it reduces manual work and operational risk
Regulatory, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies, and group-wide compliance standards
- Oversee valuation, disclosure, and governance processes
- Maintain effective engagement with regulators and support market development initiatives
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Ensure robust management of investment and operational risks
- Oversee compliance and internal control frameworks
- Maintain audit readiness and strong governance standards
Leadership & Culture
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across investments, business development, risk, and operations
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous development
- Operate effectively within a lean and entrepreneurial environment
Efficient Communication
- Establish efficient communication and flow through regular and ad-hoc supervisory board meetings under established governance structure
- Maintain relationships with key market participants, including regulators and other business counterparties.
Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, including HNWIs, corporates, and institutions through established and new distribution channels
- Lead capital raising efforts and investor engagement
- Oversee preparation of investor communications, reports, and marketing materials
- Lead business & product development direction into next phase of development
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in asset management, banking, capital markets, private equity or roles with transferable capabilities
- Strong track record in investment banking, investment management and/or business leadership
- Deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to build and scale new products, platforms and execute cross-functional projects
- Strong stakeholder management skills across investors, regulators, partners and other stakeholders
- Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with strategic vision
