Job Description
The Country Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing security protocols across all company sites and activities within the designated country. This role ensures the protection of assets, employees, and intellectual property while maintaining compliance with local and global security regulations. The Country Security Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding business operations & continuity.
- Develop and implement security strategies to protect company assets, employees, and visitors
- Conduct risk assessments and establish mitigation plans for security threats
- Ensure physical security measures are in place across company facilities
- Oversee security technologies and programs such as access control, surveillance, and emergency response protocols
- Manage travel security programs to ensure employee safety during domestic and international business trips
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of information security policies and protocols to safeguard corporate data
- Ensure adherence to national and international security laws and corporate security policies
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies on security matters
- Conduct audits to confirm compliance and readiness for regulatory inspections
- Develop security programs to protect company products throughout their lifecycle
- Oversee employee screening, vetting, and background checks
- Lead investigations related to security breaches, theft, fraud, or misconduct
- Implement, monitor, and audit business continuity plan (BCP)
- Ensure readiness for crisis management and emergency response
- Conduct regular drills and assessments to validate the effectiveness of BCP protocols
- Continuously update BCP strategies to align with the growth and evolution of business operations within the country
- Collaborate with local and global leadership to integrate security considerations into new business domains
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in security management, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in the security industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a global corporate security role
- Strong knowledge of physical security, information protection, and supply chain security
- Professional understanding of security technologies, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, alarm systems, and other physical security devices
- Familiarity with local and global regulations on the various security domains such as (CTPAT/AEO/GDPR/ISO 27001/etc.)
- Proven leadership experience in managing security teams and cross-functional collaborations
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- A team player with the capability to influence stakeholders while working in cross functional teams
- Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment
- High proficiency with spoken and written English
