Yard Shunter 

Location: Derby 

Salary: Up to £40,482 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: 12 noon to 22:00, Sunday - Thursday

A satisfying role 

Reporting to the Transport Manager this role is key to efficient operation of the daily loading process. Working at the heart of our business, you will be responsible for ensuring our operation runs as efficiently and timely as possible and managing a small fleet of 7 artics and trailers and 5 rigids working closely with the warehouse team. 

You will need to maintain food hygiene standards, minimise any damages and meet the highest standards of health and safety. Keeping accurate records and resolving on-site issues. You’ll enjoy a varied role and all the support and training you need. 

What you bring to the mix 

A friendly, focussed and physically fit person, with an eye for detail, you have everything it takes to succeed with Fairfax Meadow: 

• Experience as a Class 1 driver with valid CPC cards. 

• A passion for providing the highest operational standards. 

• Great communication skills.  

• A love of working in a team.  

• Experience of using MHE such as pump trucks.
