Senior Business Analyst - European Supply Chain & Merchandising Technology Team
Sysco Europe (whose European operating companies include Sysco GB, Sysco Ireland, Sysco France & Menigo in Sweden) are recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join the European Outbound Technology functional area within the European Supply Chain & Merchandising Technology Team on a fixed term (12 months), full-time basis, reporting into the Functional Lead.
As the Senior Business Analyst you will be a strong communicator, the successful candidate will function as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions. This role will involve analysing and understanding business needs, translating them into technical requirements and documenting test scenarios, scripts, and user outcomes.
This role will be the consistent thread throughout the lifecycle of change, utilising strong analytical skill set to take business requirements through to successful delivery of a technical solution into the BAU teams. Whilst not responsible for direct reports, there is an expectation of this role to help drive the community of Business Analysts that sit across the functional teams with best practice tools, techniques, and methodologies.
This role is offering a contract that will require travel commitment to our sites across Europe and as such a good degree of self-motivation and flexibility is required. The role will reside within the Supply Chain & Merchandising Technology function; however, may be required to spend time with business stakeholders on site across Europe as projects require, or work across other functional pillars as deemed necessary.
This role is offering flexible hybrid working (1-2 days per week) from your local site for team collaboration and meetings, so you must be with in a commutable distance.
Ability to speak French would be an advantage, though it is not a requirement for the role
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for gathering, documenting and interpreting business needs into succinct and concise functional and non-functional requirements
- Responsible for documenting test scenarios, scripts and user outcomes
- Key role in communicating between the business and BT acting as a translator where necessary
- Ability to document and understand high-level conceptual and contextual design and specifications
- Planning and managing small scale change where needed
- This role will often provide the consistent thread throughout the lifecycle of small – medium change, utilising your strong analytical skill set to take business requirements through to support
- The role will reside within the Supply Chain & Merchandising function however, a large portion or your time will be spent with your business stakeholders
- Work horizontally with other business analyst to prioritise and collaborate where necessary
- Deliver to internal processes to delivery business needs end to end
- Responsible for gathering, documenting and interpreting business needs into succinct and concise functional and non-functional requirements
- Responsible for documenting test scenarios, scripts and user outcomes
- Ensure personal knowledge and exposure to business change opportunities remains up to date, appropriate and relevant
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have the ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships with stakeholders through positive and proactive engagement and have the ability to ask insightful questions to extract details required from stakeholders. You will possess a high level of attention to detail and be organised with the ability to present and document information based on the needs of the project. You’ll have an analytical and inquisitive mindset and think tactically and strategically presenting options to solve problems. You must also have the ability to support projects in surfacing risks / issues early and suggest mitigation options to resolve. Experience of requirements gathering through direct interaction with business users or in a workshop environment and ability to prioritise e.g. MOSCOW.
