Syngenta's Commercial Team is seeking a Seeds Agronomic Assistant Intern in Ontario. This internship role will work alongside our Seed Agronomist Team to provide outstanding customer service and support to growers and retailers.

As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.

Duration: April 2027 – August 2027

Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and execute commercial NK seed field trials and collect in-season data as required.
  • Provide support to Agronomists in collaboration with the sales team within your territory.
  • Support the delivery of superior customer service to growers and retailers.
  • Gain valuable experience in agricultural practices, knowledge of our products, and direct interaction with grower and retail customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude, excitement for learning, and passion for agriculture.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Science, Business, or a related field.
  • G-class license.
  • Ability to lift a maximum weight of 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable driving long distances.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in research is considered an asset.
  • Previous relevant summer experience is considered an asset; however, all experience levels and academic disciplines are welcome to apply.

The hourly salary for this position is CAD23.50 - 30.50.  This range reflects market rates and is ultimately determined by several factors including the candidate’s skill, experience, and relevant education.
