Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

 

  • Timely and effective planning, execution, analysis and reporting of Early Stage and Development trials to achieve conclusive and timeliness results with quality to enable making timely and informed decisions on various projects.
  • Execute screening and development trials to support the Marketing and Sales strategy and New Product Introductions (NPI’s)
  • Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Trial owner responsible for execution of CP field trials within Egypt in line with specific technical skills in order to generate high quality field trials data.
  • Contributes to trial planning and design together with projects owner and other stakeholders involved.
  • Drive and ensure the all CPD trialing (Early Stage and Development) KPIs delivered on time:
  • Ensure that all protocols/trials and trials in the system: BioDesign, ARM;
  • All trial data uploaded to the data tool within 7 days after each assessment,
  • 93% conclusiveness across executed trials.
  • Conduct an agreed number of field trials through all stages, from initial planning to completion of final report, following the local standards required by authorities.
  • Manages the relationship with farmer does all the necessary field work, including selection of location (according to guidance from project owner), including compensation negotiations.
  • Ensures and does applications, assessments, reports and other activities, according to protocol requirements and following agreed deadlines.
  • Validates results and give recommendations / insights on performance of tested products and solutions at single or combined trials level.
  • Support the conduct of field trial visits with stakeholders if possible.
  • To care of trial experimental and maintenance equipment.
  • Identification of problems, opportunities and threats.
  • Technical assistance to sales, marketing and CPD departments.
  • Validates results and give recommendations / insights on performance of tested products and solutions at single trial level.
  • Equipment and store maintenance.
  • Ensure that all operations under direct supervision comply with Syngenta Health, Safety & Environment policies and guidelines as well as any other relevant Syngenta or statutory policies.

 

HSEQ responsibilities:

  • Take personal responsibility for following Syngenta HSEQ policy & standards and cooperate in preventing harm to yourself, others and the environment.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

 

Critical Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge: agronomy, trialing, specific training in Crop protection.
  • Solid crop management knowledge.
  • Very Good English (written and spoken).
  • Statistical Analysis basis.
  • Computer skills (ARM, MS Office).
  • Preferred to be NEBOSH IGC holder.

 

Experience

  • At Least 2 years’ Experience in CP trialing methods.
  • At Least 2 years’ Experience of tools and solutions needed for trial implementation and data collection, data management.
