Job Description
At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s is seeking a S&OP Lead Commercial Unit South in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This position drives the integration of sales, operations, and supply chain planning to ensure optimal product availability and business performance across the region. And acts as a key connector between commercial, operations, and supply chain teams, leading the S&OP cycle, coordinating New Product Introductions, and supporting inventory management for the Argentina market.
Accountabilities
- Lead the monthly S&OP cycle for Argentina, including Pre-S&OP coordination, data analysis, scenario planning, and constrained forecast transmission, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, and financial objectives.
- Own end-to-end NPI coordination for the Commercial Unit South, managing timelines from project initiation through product launch in close collaboration with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
- Monitor and manage inventory performance across the Commercial Unit, tracking levels, turns, and aging, identifying risks (slow-moving, obsolete, excess), and driving mitigation actions.
- Serve as the South region focal point for Long-Term Capacity Planning (LTCP), integrating the 5-year marketing plan and asset strategy to align regional demand projections with production capacity.
- Support the global Chain Projects and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring data accuracy across planning systems (SAP, APO, IBP) and maintaining strong coordination with regional and global supply planning teams.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in demand, supply, or financial planning, with exposure to S&OP processes and cross-functional collaboration across commercial, operations, and finance teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ability to build clear, structured presentations; proficiency in SAP (APO, IBP, or equivalent planning modules).
- Natural leadership and influencing skills - comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, coordinating across multiple areas, and driving alignment without direct authority.
- Strong communication and active listening skills; collaborative, composed under pressure, and able to read between the lines in complex cross-functional environments.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Desired
- Experience in project management and/or exposure to continuous improvement or transformation initiatives (e.g., global planning projects).
- Background in regulated industries such as agrochemicals, pharma, or chemicals; curiosity for emerging planning technologies (e.g., machine learning, advanced analytics).
