To support this mission, Syngenta’s Finance Operations team is seeking a Order to Cash Lead Americas in Montevideo, Uruguay. This role will drive financial performance and business growth by ensuring effective management of the Order to Cash cycle across the region. The role enables sustainable business operations through adequate and agile customer credit line management, robust compliance with credit policies, and optimization of working capital, while fostering strong partnerships between commercial and financial operations to enhance customer experience and protect company assets.

Accountabilities 

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the Order to Cash function for the Americas in alignment with Global Target Operating Model guidelines and Strategy.
  • Ensure full understanding and implementation of credit and collections strategy defined by TFCM.
  • Maintain effective dialogue with Business Finance organization to verify and optimize Credit & Collections processes.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams across the region.
  • Attract, develop and retain top finance talent while promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Be an active contributing member of the Americas Finance Operations Leadership Team and Center community.

Process Management & Compliance

  • Lead process standardization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy, while recognizing where customization adds value.
  • Facilitate internal/external audits and drive sustainable remediation of audit issues.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and regional regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the internal control framework and relevant account receivable reports.
  • Develop and maintain financial compliance capabilities across O2C team.
  • Partner with FP&T to enhance system capabilities and digital solutions.

Performance & Risk Management

  • Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure efficient and effective operation and optimal working capital management.
  • Ensure operational excellence in data maintenance and quality.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Guide the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive change management and project management.
  • Demonstrate learning agility and technology ambassadorship and foster a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Understand current and future organizational challenges and drivers of change.
  • Implement process improvements and efficiency measures.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders including Regional & CU TFCM.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration in a complex multi-dimensional, matrix organization.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, influence, and communication skills.
  • Excel in collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior management on O2C performance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Qualifications

Required  

  • BA in economics, business accounting or finance.  Master´s degree preferred.
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in a management role.
  • Relevant Experience in leading people.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Data visualization and storytelling.
  • Strong project management and change management experience and operational leadership.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.
  • FSCM and Customer/Collections portal exposure.
  • Business acumen.
  • Digital Mindset y Change management.
