Job Description
Role purpose
To ensure the delivery of the HR Workstream for the upgrade of SAP across all Syngenta countries (excluding North America and Brazil). This will include new GL and cost centres in Workday and payrolls, the decommissioning of obsolete cost centres, mass data validation and uploads, cutover and change management.
Accountabilities
- Conduct an impact assessment for each payroll and produce a detailed assessment including technical and process changes to enable Core CP, provider charges to implement costs, and dependencies/risk register to mitigate. Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders
- Develop, manage and execute a global project to deploy changes globally including project plan, project risk management, project reporting and country engagement and execution management. With a strong focus on project delivery excellence, stakeholder management, communications and change management. Managing deliverables from the external technical consultants
- Partner with Finance, regions and local countries to align countries to Finance’s standardization and streamlining of GL codes and cost centers to deploy global consistency
- Prepare and coordinate the different program testing phases with strong collaboration with Finance, Digital HR and regions to ensure resources are available, trained and ready to conduct training. Actively engage payroll and Workday experts to validate and sign off test scenarios to quality assure robust and focused testing. Provide reporting on testing phases to stakeholders and project members to identify issues and bring identified gaps to closure prior to go live
- Accountable for the build, management and execution of the HR Operations integrated cutover plan for global big bang in Jan 2026 in strong partnership with HR Digital to ensure delivery of an integrated Finance, Workday and Payroll plan.
- Update all relevant payroll process and SOP documentation either directly or via country teams. Track and status report to ensure timely completion by project conclusion.
- Proactively identify opportunities to simplify and drive efficiencies using business process re-engineering mindset.
- Ensure all HR Operations teams ready and trained to deliver new ways of working with strong connectivity to local Finance teams via communications and change management activities i.e. briefing sessions, training and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
Knowledge, experience & capabilities
- Experience working with payroll systems and HCM Systems (preferably Workday)
- Experience in running complex projects at a Global scale involving multiple stakeholders within large cross boundary project teams
- Experience of working and managing multiple and various agencies and vendors
- Managing project testing
- Strong Microsoft packages skills, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience of designing and delivering communications and change management to support project execution
