The purpose of this role is to introduce the intern to Syngenta’s Data & Analytics capabilities and provide an opportunity for them to participate in a project over the summer. The Data & Analytics internship focuses on building or analyzing a data product that will be used by a region or a global capability within the Seeds team. The internship is located at Syngenta’s Downers Grove or Downtown Chicago office.
Estimated Duration: May 2024-August 2024
You will:
- Participate in a team delivering data products and views to support a commercial or Production & Supply function in Syngenta
- Provide analysis and visualize the output of your analysis with a recommendation on how a business team can utilize your work
- Partner with existing Data & Analytics team members for coaching and career path advice
Qualifications
What you must have:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Data & Analytics, Computer Science or a related program
- Interest in Agriculture
What you might also bring to the team:
- Ability to use MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Power Point and other standard office software.
- Innovative - To always look to implement new procedures or technologies to improve work efficiencies
- Communication-The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired
- Detail Oriented-All procedures and policies must be understood and followed
- Collaboration-Able to work with external stakeholders to share feedback on their products and technology offerings
