Job Description
The Financial Analyst will support the Crop Protection (CP) businesses with a focus on supporting gross-to-net sales analysis and function expenses, utilizing technology skills.
Duties:
- Work closely with CP Commercial Finance Business Partners and provide financial support and analysis, including:
- Provide gross-to-net and discount exposure analysis.
- Ensure proper liability balances and accrual rates for marketing programs are maintained through periodic reconciliations both in-season and year-end.
- Provide business case analysis and support as needed.
- Partner with stakeholders to provide functional expense support, including:
- Month-end reporting and functional expense controlling, and accruals
- Forward-looking forecasting, supporting risks & opportunity discussions and trade-offs, feeding the North America consolidated view
- Forward-looking analysis, return on investment (ROI)
- Building the operational plans (cost center budgets) to meet targets
- Utilize technology for variance analysis including headcount analysis
- Support productivity initiatives
- Contact point for cost center owners and finance BP
- Contact for Accounting to Reporting team regarding month-end close activities
- Work with certain key account managers to calculate and execute redemption activities as well as participating in program development when appropriate.
This will be working in our Greensboro, NC location in a hybrid work setting. Other established Syngenta locations will be considered.
Qualifications
Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics and/or related field of study, with a focus on technology.
- 2 to 5 years accounting/finance experience
- Experience in financial planning, analysis, modeling and benchmarking
- Experience with standard financial analysis tools, i.e., NPV, risk assessment, and value creation
- Solid technology and data analytics skills
- Experience preparing company budgets
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP Cloud Analytics
