About the team and the role

The Landside Supervisor plays a critical front-line role within Sydney Airport’s Passenger Experience team, supporting the safe, secure and efficient movement of people through some of the busiest landside areas of the airport. Working closely with the Manager Landside Operations and Performance and the Airport Duty Manager, this role is central to maintaining smooth day‑of‑operations outcomes and protecting the passenger journey to and from kerbside.

The role provides hands‑on operational oversight of Sydney Airport’s landside environment, responding to incidents, monitoring performance, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring service standards are consistently met. With a strong focus on safety, customer experience and collaboration, the Landside Supervisor makes a visible and meaningful impact every day.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to…
 

  • Deliver consistent, high‑quality service across the landside operation for passengers, stakeholders and service partners
  • Actively engage with internal teams and external providers to maintain safe, secure and efficient landside conditions
  • Provide real‑time situational awareness and updates to the Airport Duty Manager and Integrated Operations Centre
  • Coordinate on‑site responses to incidents, including medical and safety matters, in line with procedures
  • Monitor kerbside performance to ensure service levels, delays and frequency targets are achieved
  • Conduct inspections, audits and investigations to support compliance, reporting and continuous improvement


About you
 

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced operational or shift‑based environment with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage incidents or disruptions calmly and effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external groups
  • A customer‑focused mindset with attention to service standards and presentation
  • Confidence working with operational systems and standard business tools such as Microsoft 365
  • A proactive and safety‑focused approach, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
