Job Description

You will join the IT department’s Corporate Services section, whose role is to provide the reliable working environment and productivity tooling that over 1000 employees need every day. On top of managing workstation OS and application delivery, this includes third-party applications run via public-cloud vendors as well as a fleet of on-premise servers and services.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving cultural change, modernizing technology stacks, and delivering exceptional IT support services. Your expertise will play a crucial role in developing a customer-centric culture within your teams that will ultimately improve organization-wide productivity.

You will report to the Director of IT and work closely with IT architects and Performance Analysts to plan and execute the department’s long term technical objectives while providing reliable service for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee workstation infrastructure, Microsoft servers and Endpoint management.
  • Foster a service-oriented, customer-first culture within your teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve internal clients’ productivity.
  • Establish SLOs and KPIs to measure service efficiency and performance.
  • Manage your budget, identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee operational concerns, ensure efficiency of on-call and support roles.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Notable experience in capacity planning, budgeting and long term strategic planning
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in driving cultural change and modernizing infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of IT service desk operations, endpoint management and Microsoft services
  • Strong capability to develop long-term strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance internal and business projects

Ideally:

  • Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Comfortable with IaC tooling such as ARM templating, Ansible or Terraform.
  • Previously to management, worked in direct operational and support roles as staff.
  • Extensive experience in alternate industries such as telco, manufacturing, aviation or pharmaceutics.
