About the role: 

Join Summerset’s Development Commercial team as a Commercial Development Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retirement village developments across New Zealand. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your analytical expertise to optimise project feasibility, design, and performance. 

This role is fixed term for 12 months.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct feasibility analyses for land acquisition and village development. 
  • Lead commercial management of multiple high-value projects (~$200m each). 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise master plans and unit mixes. 
  • Prepare cost estimates, benchmarking reports, and value engineering proposals. 
  • Provide commercial insights for steering groups and board papers. 

About you 

You’re a commercially minded Analyst or QS with a strong background in property or construction, bringing sharp feasibility skills and a keen eye for detail.  

You’ll also bring: 

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar, with 5+ years’ experience in construction or property development. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Excel, CostX, and other relevant software. 
  • Excellent communicator and team collaborator.
