Summerset on Summerhill is looking for an experienced Chef to join their vibrant Village in Palmerston North!

As one of our Chefs you are not only accountable for resident meals but also ensuring we have a vibrant café menu to entice our guests and visitors, while ensuring we offer nutritional and delicious delights.

This is a permanent, part-time role ideally working Friday to Monday 9am - 5.30pm. We are open to working with you on slight tweaks to the hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking set meals that our delivered out to our residents that cant come to the café

• Assisting with creating and maintaining a beautiful café menu
• Ensuring there is compliance to the approved Food Control Plan
• Being part of a team that brings the best of life to all our residents

About You:

You will be an experienced and passionate Chef who loves to put people at the heart of their food. You will be used to a busy kitchen where you will be preparing set meals as well as café orders. To be successful you will bring:

• A professional cookery qualification
• Experience working as a Cook or a Chef
• Sound understanding of Food Safety Plans
• A team player who loves passing on their culinary knowledge to their colleagues
