    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW 

    The Director of Building Engineering provides continual daily assistance and support to the Director of 
    Property Management to ensure proper operations and procedures occur at each portfolio managed. The 
    role performs building management oversight for Stream Market and is actively involved in operations and 
    technical management. 


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee engineering staff including hiring, training, personnel development, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency and company directives as
    • relates to building operations.
    • Manage relations with employees, clients, and vendors.
    • Assist with accounting, reporting, and budgeting tasks as relates to building operations.
    • Oversee, administer continuing education for all personnel on Property Management and Engineering
    • teams.
    • Perform administrative tasks related to organization: organizational charts, allocations, workshops,
    • case studies, training on special projects.
    • Work with and support property management team to resolve building performance, safety issues
    • and/or major improvements.
    • Assist with staffing concerns and disciplinary issues.
    • Collaborate with Director of Property management to maintain relationships with clients and team
    • members.
    • Regularly scheduled visits to property.
    • Assist with property transitions – incoming / outgoing, setup and execution.
    • Perform / Oversee company annual engineer property audits.
    • Oversee and maintain engineer allocations within market responsibility.
    • Maintain property inventory tracker in assigned market.
    • Assist with re-organization and reporting structure of property management and engineering
    • department.
    • Oversee engineering department for all company portfolio assigned to.
    • Responsible for monthly vendor invoicing and billback on corporate accounts.
    • Responsible for monthly engineer billback reporting.
    • Administration of CCMS (Impak); New property setup / terminations, training for PM/engineering staff,
    • ensure work order performance standards are met.
    • Administer safety training per OSHA compliance and company directives.
    • Interview and hiring of engineering personnel.
    • Culture Index implementation.
    • Support team building and staffing recommendations.
    • Support PMs with engineering personnel growth development plans and disciplinary concerns.
    • Liaison with all supporting company divisions to ensure consistency, brokerage, marketing, tenant
    • rep

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • 5-7 years plus experience in Commercial Building Operations & Property Management industry
    • preferred.
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; prior experience communicating with tenants and/or
    • vendors in a professional, courteous environment.
    • Good organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
