Job Description
The Senior HR Operations Specialist will support the day-to-day delivery of efficient, accurate, and employee-focused HR processes. This role will be responsible for maintaining employee data, managing HR transactions, supporting employee lifecycle activities, and ensuring HR systems and processes operate smoothly.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on Workday experience, keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a service-oriented approach. This role will partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and other cross functional teams to create a smooth and cohesive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle transactions
- Support the implementation of Workday and maintain UKG data files
- Maintain accurate and timely employee records within Workday, ensuring data integrity and compliance with Stream policies
- Process and troubleshoot Workday transactions and business processes, escalating complex issues when appropriate
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including coordination with cross functional stakeholders
- Respond to employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, processes, systems, and employee data
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data validation
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and workflows
- Maintain HR documentation, standard operating procedures, and process guides
- Ensure HR processes are handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable policies
- Participate in HR systems projects, testing, implementations, and process improvements as needed
- Maintain a strong understanding of Workday HCM functionality
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or HRIS
- Hands-on experience using Workday in an HR operations or HRIS capacity
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of additional HCM related Workday modules such as Absence, Benefits, Learning, Payroll, Recruiting, and Time Tracking
- Proficiency with advanced business process actions such as corrections, rescinds, reassignments and manual advances
- Experience with creating and modifying custom reports in Workday
- Familiarity with using Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) templates to perform bulk data loads
