We are seeking a Project Development Intern on a six month internship to support the business area's Project Development team. The team is responsible for the development and execution of large-scale renewable energy projects, including wind and solar developments, from early-stage identification through to investment decision.

As a Project Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside Project Managers and technical specialists, supporting the development of renewable energy projects while building knowledge of the renewable energy sector.

• Support the development of wind and solar renewable energy projects through activities such as site screening, land and grid assessments, environmental studies, and project coordination.
• Assist with environmental assessment processes for renewable energy developments.
• Provide administrative and project support to Project Managers, including preparing project reports, maintaining project documentation, and tracking actions.
• Support early-stage project development activities, including landowner engagement, community consultation preparation, grid research, and wind monitoring activities.
• Assist in coordinating third-party consultants and reviewing consultant deliverables.
• Support the technical design team through data gathering, document management, and project coordination.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on project risks, opportunities, and progress.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of high environmental, health, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Assist with general research and analysis relating to renewable energy markets, planning processes, and development opportunities.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Geography, Planning, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in renewable energy and the development of wind and solar projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Interest in planning, consenting, environmental assessments, or project management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced project environment.
• Ability to present information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
