The VP Head of Strategy & Transformation is responsible for defining and driving the development and transformation of the Finance function in line with Statkraft’s and CFO strategic priorities. The position leads cross-cutting strategy and transformation initiatives across Finance to strengthen effectiveness, efficiency and Finance’s ability to support the business. This includes improvements in key steering processes, digital capabilities, ways of working, organisational effectiveness and operating model. Identifying opportunities for simplification and top down approach to processes are a key feature to the position.
Job Description
The VP Head of Strategy & Transformation plays a central role in translating Finance leadership priorities into a coordinated portfolio of initiatives and ensuring that transformation efforts are prioritised, governed and delivered coherently across the Finance function.
The VP Head of Strategy & Transformation is accountable for defining priorities, governing delivery and ensuring execution within the unit’s areas of responsibility, as defined in the Strategy & Transformation Mandate, including:
Finance strategy and transformation
Lead the development and execution of the Finance strategy and target state in alignment with corporate strategy and CFO priorities
Set principles, priorities and governance for Finance transformation initiatives and portfolio execution
Ensure clear roles, mandates and interfaces between transformation initiatives and line operations
Digital finance and capability development
Lead the Finance digital agenda, including the development of a coherent digital roadmap for the CFO area
Drive initiatives that strengthen data foundations, decision support and finance processes
Ensure alignment of Finance digital initiatives with Group priorities, IT and long-term capability development
Operating model, ways of working and organisational effectiveness
Drive improvements in ways of working, culture, capabilities and the Finance operating model
Drive simplification, standardisation and improved collaboration across Finance and with Business Areas
Ensure effective cross-functional coordination to enable successful change implementation and benefit realisation
Transformation and efficiency agenda
Support and coordinate Finance-related transformation and efficiency initiatives
Support the definition and follow-up of targets and efficiency measures
Provide change management methods and support to enable delivery of cost and efficiency initiatives
Ensure close coordination with Performance Management to support long-term cost discipline and performance follow-up
The VP reports to the EVP CFO and is a member of the EVP’s management team. Mandates and decision authorities are defined in the Group Authority Matrix, BA Authority Matrix and the BA operating model.
The VP shall lead and develop the unit to ensure delivery of targets, including:
Ensure the safety, well-being and development of employees
Develop the organisation to deliver on business priorities and ensure effective collaboration with other units
Build a high-performing team and strengthen capabilities needed to support future Finance priorities
Ensure awareness of and adherence to the Code of Conduct and The Statkraft Way
Oversee planning, budgeting and performance management within the unit
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- Substantial experience from finance strategy, finance transformation or business transformation in a complex, preferably international, matrix organisation
- Strong understanding of finance processes, enterprise performance management and ERP environments
- Solid experience with finance transformation, including digitalisation of finance processes, operating model development and organisational change
- Strong knowledge of transformation methodologies, programme and portfolio management, and change leadership
- Good understanding of digital finance capabilities, including automation, analytics, data governance and ERP-related digitalization
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate strategic priorities into structured initiatives and delivery through others
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to provide clear, concise and actionable advice to senior management
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate constructively across functions and business areas
- Experience in managing external partners and service providers
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Sound judgement, strong decision-making ability and high personal integrity
