We are seeking an experienced Project Development Manager to join our Irish Project Development team to be based in Cork, Ireland. Responsible for delivering Statkraft's onshore wind and solar projects from early-stage development through to investment decision, the team plays a critical role in expanding our renewable energy portfolio. This is a key leadership position, offering the opportunity to lead a team of Project Development professionals and drive the successful progression of a diverse portfolio of wind and solar projects across Ireland.
Job Description
- Monitor project scope, cost and schedules
- Allocate resources from internal teams and external consultants
- Report key project metrics to boards and steering committees
- Resolve development challenges for SK’s projects in Ireland
- Oversee overall project management and land procurement team in Ireland
- Ensure delivery of competitive Cost of Energy projects aligned with Irish business targets
- Develop and enhance standards, processes and tools for efficient project management.
- Ensure milestones are achieved within budget and on time.
- Address issues with vendors and consultants to secure smooth handover to delivery teams.
- Collaborate with teams across Ireland, Europe and Statkraft to maintain consistency.
- Support decision-making milestones for Corporate management.
- Report directly to the VP Development in Ireland and contribute to their management team.
- Lead active processes for Statkraft Ireland, leveraging commercial expertise to deliver strong project outcomes and drive profitability
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences with extensive experience.
- Proven track record in managing development and construction of renewable or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in planning processes and all development stages for onshore wind and solar.
- Full responsibility for project budgets and schedules from early development to construction.
- Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy technologies and related supply contracts.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and detail-focused.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills; ability to prioritise and meet targets.
- Clear affinity for renewables with relevant industry experience.
- Skilled in framing issues with context, analysis and recommendations for project teams.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS applications.
- Independent self-starter with ability to manage heavy workloads and competing deadlines.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
