Statkraft has been present in Italy since 2020, with offices in Milan, Genoa, Rome and Bari, as well as employees working remotely from locations across the country. The Land Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing a portfolio of approximately 2.9 GW of land-secured projects and more than 400 active land agreements, leading one of the largest and most strategically important land management scopes in the Italian renewable energy sector.
Job Description
You will join the Development Performance & Coordination team, playing a key role in supporting renewable energy projects in Italy. The position has strong strategic relevance, focusing on the most complex, high-impact and business-critical land topics across the project lifecycle.
As a Land Manager you will:
- Drive land-related activities across the full project lifecycle, with a focus on complex and strategic initiatives
- Coordinate acquisition and formalisation of land rights, including easements, notarised deeds and expropriation procedures
- Identify and mitigate legal, operational and documentation risks in critical project phases
- Act as a key reference point for land matters, supporting decision-making with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support due diligence and project transactions through high-quality and reliable documentation
- Improve land processes through standardisation, efficiency and stronger governance
- Actively contribute to the development of land strategies and market insights
Qualifications
We are looking for colleagues who are excited to make an impact and bring a mix of mindset and skills to the team. This includes:
- Proven experience in land agreements, property rights or real estate law and ability to manage land acquisition processes and related legal documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across internal and external parties
- Business-oriented mindset, with the ability to align legal and contractual topics with project and company objectives
- Ability to operate effectively on complex and high-impact topics, ensuring reliable and compliant solutions
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with strong risk awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and contribute to commercial negotiations led by Project Managers
- Knowledge of the renewable energy market in Italy, including development processes, energy market dynamics and business models, is a significant advantage
- University degree in Law, Business, Real Estate, Land Management or a related field preferred
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
Additional Information
The role is based in our Milan office (Foro Buonaparte 60), given the need for close collaboration with key local stakeholders. The role also requires domestic travel for up to 20% of working time.
