We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Procurement. This key leadership role will report directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of BA Technology and Project Delivery and will be an integral member of the BA management team.
The SVP Procurement will lead Statkraft’s global procurement function, ensuring optimal value creation, robust risk management, and a sustainable supply chain. The role sets the strategic direction for procurement, drives governance and compliance, and oversees all procurement activities in Statkraft. An integrated part of this is managing Statkraft’s supplier relationships to secure quality, continuity and long-term competitiveness.
Job Description
Areas of responsibility and accountabilities:
- Define and execute Statkraft’s group-wide procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, compliance, sustainability standards, and best practice across the organisation.
- Drive efficient procurement delivery by leading sourcing processes, as well as procurement strategies and contract management in projects.
- Ensure effective supplier management, including category strategies, performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and proactive relationship development across global operations.
- Build and develop a high performing procurement team, fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous learning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic guidance on procurement opportunities, risks, and commercial decisions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent and proven leadership and personal skills aligned with Statkraft’s leadership expectations, including:
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategy to effective execution.
- Deep knowledge of procurement governance, compliance requirements, and sustainability principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Strong commercial drive, striving for continuous improvement and operational excellence, promoting innovative and costeffective solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
- Acts as a safety leader and ensures compliance with the Code of Conduct.
- Proven leadership aligned with our leadership expectation; drive for performance, look beyond, build your team and ensure operational excellence.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Legal studies (with a focus on contract law and procurement regulations) or other related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management and negotiations, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles or senior management position with commercial experience.
- Proven track record in managing global functions and complex supplier ecosystems.
International leadership experience is required, as the role involves managing teams across multiple countries.
