Job Description
As a Wind Site Manager, you will be part of our Project Delivery Unit Iberia, and will play a crucial role in ensuring coordination, management, and site supervision of all works during the construction of our Wind Park Montes de Cierzo.
The Wind Site Manager oversees and manages all site-based construction activities in an efficient, safe, and timely manner without causing delay, and has the authority, and duty, to stop any activities that they consider unsafe or hazardous to personnel, the environment, or assets.
As a Wind Site Manager, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Reporting to the Construction Manager on a direct basis
- Recording and reporting on site construction activities to the Project Manager & Construction Manager, including the production of a daily log and brief weekly reports to be issued including any key safety issues
- Ensuring construction methods conform to industry standards and good industry practice
- Coordinating with the HSSE-Site representative on site safety inspections and attending any audits undertaken by Statkraft
- Coordinating the interface activities between all parties at Site including all Project Contractors, subcontractors, third parties etc
- Liaising with stakeholders at local level such as landowners and community councils, including attending meetings when requested
- Coordinating with Environmental / CSR-Site representative regarding communication with local residents and ensuring that local residents are kept up to date with any critical construction activities
Qualifications
- Degree qualified with appropriate health and safety qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience of which as a minimum 5 years should have been spent in construction
- Previous experience wind projects is mandatory, experience in solar projects is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
- Proactive and solution-oriented with attention to details
- Team player and self-motivated to take responsibility for independent work
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines
