Job Description

At Statkraft, IT and digital solutions are integral to our entire value chain. Our solutions and services are essential for information gathering, analysis, exploration, production planning, monitoring, sales, and safeguarding our operations. As our business evolves, our solutions are becoming increasingly sophisticated and interdependent. Due to the nature of our business, we also develop many of our business-critical systems in-house.

The Senior Test Manager will join the Test Management unit within IT, part of the Project Management department responsible for overseeing all IT and digitalisation projects at Statkraft, including Test Management and the IT Project Management Office (PMO).

As a Test Manager you will:

  • Lead Testing Efforts: Define test scope, plan and execute tests, create test cases, and report on results.
  • Ensure Quality: Execute tests to ensure our software and future solutions meets stakeholder requirements.
  • Innovate: Design automated tests to improve efficiency.
  • Shape the Future: Help build and structure our test domain, implementing common test strategies, principles, and processes.

    Qualifications

    About you:

    • Higher education at university level or equivalent. Practical experience may compensate.
    • 5+ years of experience as a test manager in software development, preferably within the energy sector, consultancy, or similar roles in global industrial companies.
    • Proactive and able to drive processes independently, while also being a team player in projects.
    • Keen eye for potential issues, risks, and improvements. You see details others often miss and enjoy solving problems.
    • Recognize and appreciate the value of good documentation.
    • Understand the importance of change management and organizational awareness.
    • Positive, with a “can-do” mentality.
    • ISTQB certification is an advantage.
    • Fluent in English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language or German is a plus.
