About the Role

As a Frontend Developer on Statkraft's Frontend Enablement team, you will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and fellow developers to streamline front-end practices and technologies across Statkraft’s IT teams in Norway, Germany and England. Working as part of an agile scrum team, you will help deliver innovative products to business specialists, shaping the future of renewable energy technology.
You will have the unique opportunity to work directly with business users across the company, gaining deep insights into renewable energy production, sales, and maintenance. From analysing hydrology data to power market trends and preventive maintenance, your work will make a real impact by enhancing the tools our users rely on daily to accelerate their important work.
We currently use React and Angular, with Typescript, to build web applications, ensuring high-quality code with comprehensive test coverage, especially for our design system.

About the front-end team
Our Front-end team consists of 6 UX designers and 8 frontend developers. We meet weekly to work on our design system and to keep each other updated on our work and exchange ideas, creating a supportive environment where learning and teamwork thrive. When you face a challenging problem, there is always someone to lend a hand.
About the product team SEDP
The Statkraft Enterprise Data Platform is a company-wide system built on Microsoft Azure that helps with data ingestion, storage, and usage. It allows for big data processing, analysis, and insights, and is designed to be globally accessible, highly available, and compliant with regulations. You will be joining the cross functional platform team, which consist of 10 members with various expertise. You will also collaborate with the teams that helps the customers to take full advantage of the Data Platform.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work together with the business users as part of a scrum team to deliver value often
  • Actively participate in the team’s ritual, (standups, plannings, reviews, retros)
  • Work together with the rest of the scrum team to help prioritizing nonfunctional requirements and reduce the technical debt in the products
  • Work on maintaining and developing the Adam framework
  • Proactively shape Statkraft’s digital future with the rest of the front-end enablement team
  • Participate in the use and development of our design system
  • Keeping yourself updated
  • Work with designers to implement user interfaces and user experiences that are intuitive and visually appealing.  
  • Manage code repositories and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile (scrum) teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with the Angular framework.
  • Proficiency in Typescript.
  • Solid experience in frontend testing.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python and time series data.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design and design systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in React
  • Proficiency in Norwegian.
