Job Description

Statkraft's IT department is the trusted and knowledgeable partner on IT, digitalization and innovation. IT strengthens and matures Statkraft's collective digitalisation capabilities to realize the company's common goals and opportunities. The main responsibility is to operate, improve, secure, develop and maintain reliable, efficient and modern infrastructure and platform services. We work closely together with the business and staff areas to understand their needs across all of Statkraft’s locations.

The Project Management unit in IT is responsible for managing all IT and digitalisation projects in Statkraft. The unit is also responsible for test management, and the IT Project Management Office (PMO). We are currently about 50 experienced project managers in Oslo and Düsseldorf.

We are now strengthening the team and are looking for project managers to lead IT and digitalization projects for the business areas Markets, Operations and Corporate Functions in Statkraft. This is a unique opportunity to work across departments and functions to make a difference, and to be leading highly important projects supporting our mission and purpose.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for planning, controlling and execution of complex and business critical IT / Digitalization projects
  • Secure collaboration and project results with resources from the different units within IT, and from the business side, delivering value supported by different project models
  • Work closely with project owners and key stakeholders maximizing business value through IT and digital solutions
  • Be a team player supporting, collaborating and contributing to an inspiring working environment with the rest of the project management team, sharing your skills and experiences to raise the team performance and capabilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for high performing candidates with drive, high ethical standards, and a clear “can do” attitude and the essential skills to future proof our business and renewable energy solutions. We believe the right candidate will recognize themself in the following:

  • You have a deep interest, motivation and experience in leading business critical IT and digitalization projects and a proven track record of leading successful projects.
  • You have passion for green energy, interest in technology, organizational understanding and are curious about people and their motivation. 
  • Key competence areas could be within software implementation, development, cloud, integration, security, software acquisition etc.
  • Experience from some of our customer areas is an advantage.
  • You acknowledge the importance of change management and are motivated by collaborating with skilled colleagues to reach ambitious project goals.
  • Working experience from consulting companies or similar roles in global industrial companies is highly relevant.
  • You have strong communication capabilities, and talent for building network and trusted relationships is a necessity
  • Experience with agile IT project management methods (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, SAFe), software tools, methodologies, and best practices in this field.
  • Certifications in project management such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Prince2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a plus.
  • You have higher education at university level or equivalent
  • You speak English fluently, preferable in addition to one of the Scandinavian languages.
