Our trainee programme is a unique entry point into the world of renewables. During your time as a trainee, you will work on some of the toughest challenges within the energy sector, collaborate with some of the smartest minds in the industry, be offered world-class development and learning opportunities and be part of an exclusive network of ambitious young talents from across the world. As a Trainee in our Wind & Solar Development team you will: 

• Lead land development projects for wind, solar and battery parks: Manage the entire process from land secured to “ready to build"
• Take on comprehensive project management responsibilities: Oversee environmental permits, electrical grid connections, land evaluation and project planning
• Lead and engage with both internal and external resources: Operatively manage teams during the project phase while communicating effectively with relevant authorities, customers, landowners, and other consultation parties
• Monitor and report project progress and finances: Keep track of project advancements and budget

Please note that the home base for this position will be in Piteå and/or Östersund, Sweden.

We are looking for recent graduates who are motivated to join us in leading the green energy transition. Below are some qualifications we believe are beneficial as a trainee at Statkraft:

• Master’s degree within relevant area of Engineering (Energy, Renewables, Electrical, Mechanical) or Environmental related field or similar
• No more than one year of work experience post education (excluding internships/part-time jobs) 
• Strong and proven ability to collaborate with others and work as a team player
• Curious and open minded towards different tasks and work environments 
• Open to relocate during your trainee program for a period of 6 months
• Fluency in English is required, also basic Swedish (other European languages are an asset)
