Job Description

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading the execution of integrated marketing communications that bring the Starbucks brand and campaigns to life in the Australian market. The role ensures consistent, high‑quality brand storytelling across customer touchpoints, supporting visit frequency, brand affinity and commercial outcomes. 

This role focuses on campaign execution and local market adaptation, working closely with global brand teams and local stakeholders. 

Key Accountabilities 

Campaign Planning & Delivery 

  • Plan and deliver integrated marketing communications campaigns across owned, paid and earned channels
  • Lead end‑to‑end campaign execution from briefing through to delivery and post‑campaign review
  • Ensure campaigns align with business priorities, seasonal calendars and customer insights 

Brand & Content Stewardship 

  • Ensure all communications reflect Starbucks brand standards, tone of voice and visual identity
  • Localise global campaign assets and messaging for the Australian market 
  • Oversee content development across digital, CRM, in‑store and social channels 

Cross‑functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Product, Digital and Store Operations teams to ensure cohesive execution 
  • Support activation of campaigns in‑store and across digital platforms 
  • Coordinate timelines, inputs and approvals across stakeholders 

Agency & Supplier Management 

  • Manage day‑to‑day relationships with creative, media and PR agencies 
  • Prepare briefs, provide feedback and ensure quality and timely delivery 
  • Support budget management and campaign reporting 

Performance & Optimisation 

  • Track campaign performance and engagement metrics 
  • Identify opportunities to improve messaging, creative or channel mix 
  • Share insights and learnings with stakeholders

Additional Information

About You:                                                                      

  • 7–10 years’ experience in marketing communications, brand marketing or integrated campaign roles 
  • Proven experience delivering multi‑channel campaigns (digital, in‑store, CRM, paid media) 
  • Experience localising global brand campaigns for a local market 
  • Experience managing creative, media and/or PR agencies 
  • Background in retail or QSR preffered 
  • Strong execution focus with stakeholder‑management capability

Starbucks Australia is proudly Australian owned and operated. We are a small company with large growth plans. We’ve based in Collingwood, with expansive end-of-trip facilities (all shower amenities soaps & towels included), concierge services with dry-cleaning and parcel collection provided, and current building works for our very own Starbucks café on-site. We work on a hybrid model with 3 days in office, 2 from home.
