Job Description

Accountable to deliver results for the Isle of Man Limited aligned to SBG Group strategy. Orchestrates execution of Isle of Man Limited strategy as approved by the Isle of Man Board, in line with fiduciary and regulatory requirements. Lead country teams that influence key strategic stakeholders, lead competitive business practices and enable a growth oriented, customer led organisation. The key to success is directing actions to achieve results, ensuring that key metrics of credit, risk, compliance and performance are met.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: 

  • Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce

Experience Required :

  • 10+ years experience in Enterprise Executive Management
  • Extended period of industry experience, with intimate knowledge of the business and commercial culture combined with extensive financial services experience, with a proven track record in the major lines of business.
  • Responsible for legal and regulatory alignment and engagement with regulatory and governing bodies.
  • Participation on the executive leadership team of a company of comparable size and comparable business requirements or experience in a similar position in a less complex environment.

Key Outputs :

  • Lead and guide the implementation and execution of Business Unit strategic priorities in country, aligning country priorities to group goals. Drive and support the reporting teams to continually improve the business and reach the identified targets, managing trade-offs across Business Units and Group Functions in Country as appropriate.
  • Understand, implement and influence complex country specific legal and regulatory requirements, challenging the status quo in the interest of maintaining a future ready organisation, supporting regulatory and legal changes, while maintaining cognisance of the risk profile of the country and region within which the bank operates, as well as the risk appetite of key stakeholders.
  • Manage and engage multiple, diverse stakeholders across a complex variety of agendas, risk profiles and legal requirements in a meaningful way to continually pursue the bank’s strategic objectives.
  • Take accountability for shareholder value and country financial performance (including business revenue growth, profit and loss accountability, balance sheet and income statements) and all related regulatory requirements while influencing and collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in the execution of required processes.
  • Maintain insight into local and global industry dynamics and the end-to-end business value chain in order to guide and direct business growth.
  • Lead, mentor and coach a large and diverse team in country in an interdependent manner, focusing on individual development and business excellence. Identify and drive the appropriate culture, promote a compelling and meaningful shared purpose, aligned to Group standards.

Additional Information

Total Compensation: The successful candidate will be eligible for a market-competitive total compensation package with an anticipated annual value of £350,000 to £450,000, including base salary, benefits, short-term incentive and long-term incentive awards linked to individual and business performance.
