Job Description
To design, code debug and correct programs in the software engineering environment to agreed standard and tools, to enhance and maintain software applications and improve efficiency within the engineering environment through ensuring that technical requirements are done in accordance to the software framework. The role also supports the development and management of DevOps pipelines to enable reliable, secure and efficient software delivery.

Design, write, test and deploy high quality code across various programming languages based on predefined requirements and parameters to enable best in class solutions aligned to business requirements.
Adopt and adhere to suitable and agreed development methodologies and principles through work outputs and behaviours that enables continuous delivery and development across the software engineering environment as well as ensuring effective collaboration with all colleagues and stakeholders to meet required targets and therefore deliver value to the clients.
Deliver quality assurance on own code to ensure adherence to coding standards and identify potential risks, in collaboration with the software engineering team to ensure that the requirements are validated with sufficient test coverage.
Deliver test cases for unit testing purposes, conduct unit testing and prepare code to be deployed in testing environment to ensure that errors are detected and resolved within the service level timeline, by using tools like Docker, Kubernetes or cloud service to enhance the client experience.
Translate logical designs into component designs considering the solution design, performance requirements and existing systems to ensure effective implementation of the engineering standards, and ensure standardisation in accordance with the team objectives and strategies.
Provide input to the various phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of the technical solution within the estimated timelines to adhere to architectural guidelines and guardrails by ensuring all activities are recorded and tracked to enhance reporting, and support the review and improvement process.
Translate logical designs into component designs considering the solution design, performance requirements and existing systems to enable and implement solutions based on the architectural pest practices and industry standard to ensure the effective implementation of the Engineering solutions.
Document all work and develop technical support documentation within agreed standards, methods and tools within the portfolio to ensure that regular reviews and updates are reflected this will improve the quality of delivery.
Develop fully functional software engineering application within the engineering stack to ensure that are in line with current technologies and standards and publish them to the relevant platform to enhance the functioning and experience of the software environment.
Support platforms for the processing, analysis and visual display of data, integrating new and existing data sources and ensuring the validity and reliability of data to support data driven decision making.
Document all work and develop technical support documentation following the best practices of documentation, such as readability, accuracy, and completeness and ensuring that the scripts are reusable, scalable and maintainable.
