Job Description
NOTE: This role is not open to Relocation or Sponsorship. Isle of Man residents are eligible to apply.
To build and enhance financial forecasting and scenario analysis models for the country / entity in order to identify opportunities and anticipate risks, optimise the planning, forecasting and scenario analysis of the country, enhance and integrate with risk and Treasury and Capital Management (TCM) and enable effective decision making across the organisation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
- First Degree in Finance and Accounting
- First Degree in Mathematical Sciences
Experience Required :
- 3 - 4 years experience
- Coding experience in Python, DAX or similar required. Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud would be required. Practical experience with BI (Power BI or similar) would be important.
- Experience with enterprise wide or business unit level financial planning with focus on sensitivities of financial outcome to alternative macro-economic and financial scenarios.
- Practical experience in Treasury Capital Management would be essential in order to assess impact of perform scenario analysis and planning on capital and liquidity , and to ensure alignment between risk appetite and strategic plans. Practical experience in enterprise wide or business unit specific risk model development.
Key Outputs :
- Act as the subject matter expert and specialist to oversee model accuracy, in collaboration with the Treasury Capital Management team and other key resources across the country by sourcing up-to-date Base Case economic indicators to ensure fit-for-purpose scenarios are in place for all BUs.
- Actively contribute to developing and modelling the Group's framework for allocation of resources including economic, regulatory and physical capital, people, IT capital expenditures and strategic investments.
- Build capability by providing scenario planning subject matter expertise and training to country FVM on general concepts of scenario planning as well as use of the scenario planning models and toolkits in order to enhance the skill set.
- Collaborate with Treasury Capital Management (TCM) resources to align scenario planning analyses, integrate models, ensure integrity of the data used between GSP and TCM and review results.
- Enhance scenario models, in partnership with BUs, risk types and other functional areas such as Finance and Treasury Capital management, to support scenario planning aligned to the SBG model development standards.
