Corporate and Investments Banking (CIB) Client Coverage Graduate Programme

  • Full-time
  • Business Segment: Corporate & Investment Banking

Company Description

Standard Bank Group is a leading Africa-focused financial services group, and an innovative player on the global stage, that offers a variety of career-enhancing opportunities – plus the chance to work alongside some of the sector’s most talented, motivated professionals. Our clients range from individuals, to businesses of all sizes, high net worth families and large multinational corporates and institutions. We’re passionate about creating growth in Africa. Bringing true, meaningful value to our clients and the communities we serve and creating a real sense of purpose for you.

Job Description

If you see yourself as a connector, strategist, and relationship‑builder, our Client Coverage Graduate Programme is designed to stretch, challenge, and accelerate you from day one. In this space, your curiosity, resilience, and ability to engage with people will be key as you partner with some of Africa’s leading corporates, multinationals, and financial institutions.

Instead of asking you to specialise immediately, we’ll give you a comprehensive introduction to the Client Coverage environment — from sector teams and regional franchises to our African footprint and global network. You’ll gain exposure to how we originate opportunities, understand client needs, and coordinate with product teams across the bank to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end solutions.

If you're passionate about understanding businesses, solving complex client challenges, and driving value through strong partnerships, this programme is built for you. You’ll play a meaningful role in helping our clients grow, compete, and succeed across the continent, while learning what it takes to become a trusted advisor within CIB.
