Job Description
To provide overall leadership and direction in the investment management. This would include the development of the investment strategy, tactical and dynamic asset allocation, processes, policies and guidelines as well as the monitoring of same. The Head of Investment (HOI) will report to the Executive Director in charge of Investments and Information Technology and will work closely with the committees and divisions within the group to ensure that the performance of portfolios and the Investment Management Division at large compares favourably with expectations or policy portfolios. The HOI will be primarily responsible for supervising and providing leadership to the senior fund managers and would ensure that the overall governance, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. The HOI will also support the various divisions within the group to expand market share and growth within the industry. He/She will be responsible for development of products and strategies that would position SIAML as the manager of choice in the Asset Management landscape. In addition, the HOI will development and maintain strategic relationships/alliance with industry participants, focus groups, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
Type of Qualification
- First Degree in Business or Commerce
- Post Graduate qualifications in Finance, business related or quantitative discipline
Work Experience
- 7-10 years’ experience in portfolio management and must have successfully led a team of fund managers
- 6 - 9 years experience in structuring investment products, analysing and valuing investment opportunities
