Job Description
Responsible for the reconciliation & substantiation of the balance sheet & income statement signed on a monthly basis for group finance & annually for the external audit. Responsible for defining and influencing the implementation of change projects to improve month-end reporting & controls. Product control will also be responsible for assessing the risk of business on-and-off balance sheet exposures so that risk is managed & mitigated in line with banks credit policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and Finance or related
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is preffered.
Additional Information
Experience:
- 5-7 years' experience in Product Control/ Auditing/Credit derivatives
- Understanding of information flow between front office systems and the general ledger. Excellent banking experience with preference to prior exposure to investment banking and derivative products.

Ensure effective change management of all Finance led initiatives into Business, with the relevant business stakeholders.
Ensure accurate financial reporting, appropriate classification and measurement of financial instruments and derivatives, effective credit risk assessment, and full compliance with IFRS 9, IFRS 7, and IAS 32 disclosure and recognition requirements.
Provide independent assurance on the integrity of the Profit and Loss (P&L) results through robust daily, monthly, and annual production, validation, and analysis of revenues and related financial metrics.
- Allocate activities to team members in order to achieve daily, weekly and monthly operational targets. Prioritise workflow and refine work schedules within the norms for the area.
