Job Description

The Head: Strategic Change and Enablement – Group Risk provides enterprise-level leadership to design, steer and embed an integrated Group Risk change and enablement strategy across our markets. The role drives strategic alignment between Group Risk, Legal, and Group Governance, ensuring future-fit capabilities, readiness for regulatory evolution, and coherence across jurisdictions.

The incumbent leads complex, multi-jurisdictional change; anticipates shifts in the risk, regulatory and banking environment; mobilises cross-functional delivery; and ensures that Group Risk’s strategic, operational and regulatory objectives are met in a resilient, future-oriented manner. This includes orchestrating strategic planning, embedding risk-aligned transformation, and enabling Group Risk COO and Group Chief Risk Officer priorities across all regions.

Qualifications

  • First Degree (Business/Commerce)
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business/Commerce or related field; Strategy, Change or Operational Risk certifications (Programme Management desirable)

Experience

Minimum 15+ years, including:

  • More than 7 years in business partnering or independent assurance functions.
  • More than 7 years in strategy and complex change leadership.
  • International and multi-jurisdictional experience in change, risk or strategy enablement 
  • Demonstrated ability to steer large-scale business disruption and change across functions, regions and products.
