Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As the Analytics Manager, you will lead our data analytics initiatives, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, developing analytics strategies, and delivering actionable insights to support business growth.

  • Develop and implement data analytics strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Design and oversee the execution of complex data analysis projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively
  • Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning
  • Ensure the team's analytics outputs meet high standards of accuracy and reliability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or related field
  • 2+ years experience in Workforce Management is required. 
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and R
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and understanding of machine learning techniques
  • Excellent project management abilities and attention to detail
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with business intelligence and data warehousing concepts
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
